I’m Terri Sabol, a children’s book author, (former) teacher, world traveler, a proud Mom of two cats, and a born-and-raised Texan.
I like to create books that entertain, educate, and inspire.
My Oscar and Emmy Book Series is purrfect for cat families.
My other kids’ books are great for discussing topics like perseverance, being a gracious winner, jealousy, and appreciating what you have.
My former career as an early childhood teacher led to my love of picture books. Rescue cats have always been a part of my life. So it seemed natural to combine the two.
I am a native Texan and live here with my two rescue kitties, Oscar and Emmy.
When I’m not writing, reading, acting, traveling, working out, entertaining, or trying to learn Spanish, I’m volunteering at an animal shelter.
I’m a member of SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) since 2016 and SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild) since 2005.
Burning the Midnight Oil Publishing is the publishing company for Terri Sabol’s picture books.
The goal is to entertain, educate, and inspire families with picture books that will grow with the children.
